Lamp/Source Type

Select from the available source designations provided In the menu. If the manufacturer has used the Custom Search Keyword [_SEARCH_SOURCETYPE] your search will be most accurate. Otherwise, searching Is also performed On the keywords [LAMP] And [LAMPCAT].

Number Of Lamps

Enter a numeric value. This search references the “Number Of Lamps” place-holder In the IES (EULUMDAT, CIBSE) file.

Wattage

This Is intended To be connected load For the luminaire (IES LM-63-02). Enter a range Of values by supplying a greater than Or equal To value For the low End Of the range And a less than Or equal To value For the high End Of the range.

Luminaire Lumens

This Is the calculated value Of total lumens emitted from the luminaire And Is different from Lamp Or Source lumens For luminaires tested Using relative photometry. Instabase calculates this number from the zonal lumen data.

Enter a range Of values by supplying a greater than Or equal To value For the low End Of the range And a less than Or equal To value For the high End Of the range.

Lumens/Lamp

This value Is obtained from the “Lamp Lumens” value contained In the photometric file. It Is a lumens/lamp rating.

Color Temp (K)

Correlated Color Temperature (CCT) Is measured In Kelvins And serves To indicate the warmth Or coolness Of a white light source. Lower CCTs appear more yellowish Or orange. Higher CCTs appear more bluish.

Enter values To indicate the lower And upper ends Of the desired range. If a specific CCT Is desired, enter the same value In both fields.

CRI

Color Rendering Index (CRI) Is used To evaluate the ability Of a light source To render colors accurately When compared To how they look under a reference source Of the same CCT. The CRI scale ranges from 0 – 100, With higher CRIs indicating better color rendering performance

Enter the CRI that Is the lowest acceptable value For the project.

LER

LER Is a measure Of the luminaire’s rated lumen output divided by its input power.

LER = [luminaire efficiency (EFF) x total rated lamp lumens (TLL) x ballast factor (BF)] divided by [luminaire input watts] ]

• LER will Not be calculated If watts = 0 Or ballast factor = 0
• LER will Not be calculated For absolute photometry (lumens = -1)
• LER will Not be calculated properly For IES files prorated To 1000 lumens (Or other prorations) -- it will be artificially low.

UWLR

Upward Waste Light Ratio Is a metric calculated from the luminaires zonal lumen output.

Efficiency

This Is a calculated value obtained from the luminaire zonal lumen data. Enter a greater than Or equal To value.

IES Class

Select from these classifications Type I, II, III, IV, V And VS.

Longitudinal Class

Select from these classifications: Very Short, Short, Medium, Long And Very Long.

Cutoff Type

Select from these classifications: Non Cutoff, Semi Cutoff, Cutoff And Full Cutoff.

The luminaire cutoff classification was deprecated by the IESNA In 2007; it Is superseded by the Luminaire Classification System (LCS Or BUG).

CIE type

The CIE classification Of the light distribution refers To the amount Of flux emitted In the upper And lower hemispheres As a percentage Of the total.

Select from these classifications Direct, Semi-Direct, General Diffuse, Semi Indirect, And Indirect.

NEMA Type

The IES NEMA typing Is determined by the location Of the 10% maximum candela value In the axial angles Of the Type B web.

BUG Rating

BUG rating (Backlight, Uplight, Glare, IES TM-15-11) Is three independent values calculated from the luminaire’s zonal lumen distribution.
